More than anything else, Dr. A understood me. Where I needed to grow and learn, both as a person and a student, she was always very quick to observe and lead. She's been utterly selfless, no matter how much of a handful I became, and worked to show me how beautiful the world is beyond all the struggle that accompanies study. I am reminded of a poem to which she introduced me:
Now we all praise famous men,
Men of little showing
For their work continueth,
And their work continueth,
Great beyond their knowing.
