My family and I had a local move that we hired Hornet Moving for. We were moving from a two bedroom, two story house to a three bedroom, one story house that was about 20 minutes away. I got quotes from at least a dozen companies within a 30 mile radius, and Hornet Moving was by far the cheapest. They don’t charge a trip fee within Charlotte. I was in Landis and moved to Salisbury so they charged a $50 fee. Everywhere else was charging between $200-$300 plus an hourly rate! We scheduled online through Thumbtack and Ryan was very responsive and answered my questions. We hired 3 guys to move our stuff, and they were scheduled to arrive at 1pm. They called me about 45 mins prior to let me know they were on the way, and arrived right at 1pm. We expected the move to take around 4-5 hours, and some companies had tried to quote us up to 8 hours. These guys got everything done in 3 hours and 15 minutes!! They worked hard and fast, and got everything loaded up and moved with no issues. They made sure all of our furniture and possessions were taken care of, and they wrapped everything with blankets. At the new house we had hardwood floors, and they took the time to let me put pads under all the furniture to prevent scratching. We were highly impressed with the service we received from Brandon, Landon, and Triel. They made our move a very pleasant experience, and I would recommend them to anyone needing a great moving company!

I wish I could have selected all of the highlights. These guys were AWESOME. They were there on time, super personable and FAST. I could not have asked for anything better. I would use them again and again and again. I can’t say enough great things about Jay and Justin. They did such an excellent job. They got there and completed the job in two hours. We had a bunch of very heavy furniture and they moved everything exceptionally well and took great care of all of our things. They were antiques and I was nervous about the weight but these two were very careful and moved all the furniture plus a washer and dryer. I will seriously recommend them to everyone I know!! Thank you!!!

I will definitely be using this company again. They arrived on time, and called me about 10min before to let me know. They had everything ready, including many moving materials and tools to help me with last minute items like disassembling my bed. They worked quickly, were friendly, and not a single piece of furniture was nicked. Everything was padded and strapped down on the truck during the drive to the new place too. These movers were professional and efficient - couldn't ask for anything more.

friendly guys (Cameron and Deshawn), didn't break anything, showed up right on time. moved our piano without dinging any walls or scratching the wood floors their truck did break down so delivery was very delayed, but they kept us updated and gave us a discount for the inconvenience

26 Foot Moving Truck + 2 Clean-Cut Movers = $170/HR (Monday-Thursday with a 2-hour minimum) and $180/hr (Friday-Sunday with 3-hour minimum) **Add an additional mover = $50/HR **Add an additional truck = $70/hr **We start/stop the clock at your home and charge by the minute - no rounding up! There are also no travel fees within the city limits of Charlotte.
