Introduction
I started teaching guitar to my friends two years ago, and I loved it so much I started working as a music teacher for Guitar Center. Now I am teaching guitar, bass and music theory independently. I focus on personalizing the lessons for each student, and helping them achieve their goals. I was trained in classical guitar under Dr. Alan Hirsh, so classical guitar is an area of expertise of mine.

Will has been working with my 11-year-old son every other week, for close to a year. In that time, my son went from barely knowing his strings to learning and perfecting multiple songs. Currently, they are working on improving his timing by using a metronome app.
Some of the things that Will has taught my son:
- How to tune his guitar
- Proper and effective guitar form
- Identifying and playing different strings
- Chord recognition and playing
- Reading tabs to learn new songs
Will is extremely knowledgeable of all things music, he’s very punctual, and very communicative if there is ever a time where he thinks he’ll be late or there is a scheduling conflict. Most importantly, he handles my son and his neurodivergence with such kindness and keeps him on track as he tends to get distracted easily in a chaotic house full of pets and a toddler.
