FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rates are based on what I have seen and in some cases cheaper than others. Lesson rates are as follows $40/30 min $55/45 min $70/ 60 min I teach both in-home and remote lessons through either Zoom or Face Time (if you have an IOS) As far as payment is concerned I accept cash, check, PayPal and Zelle.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start with the same 3 questions for any of my students - especially new ones 1. Why are you taking guitar lessons? This is very important. I can't tell you how many people I have asked this to in the past and how many didn't really know why they were doing it. For anyone to want to pursue something there has to be a reason otherwise they will lose interest very quickly. 2. What goals do you have? Goals will keep you motivated when you feel like you are not moving forward in your lessons. Guitar is not an easy instrument to play. 3. What kind of music do you like? This helps me pick out material.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a recent graduate with BA in Music Therapy from Queens University of Charlotte. I have also be playing guitar for 24 years.
