FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Alpha-Moves offers three different programs depending on your training needs. Each program is backed by our lifetime guarantee, so you can always contact us within your dogs lifetime for more training if need be. Our first program is a board and train option, which is an extensive 3 week program that covers all basic obedience commands and behavior modifications within this time frame. Another program we offer is our in-home lessons program. You and your dog meet with a trainer once a week at your home for a more hands on approach to accomplish the behavior change and obedience you wish to accomplish. Our third program is a hybrid of the board and train mixed with the private lessons. Your dog would begin this program by staying with us for a week, then continuing in home lessons after. This is one of our most popular programs because it starts your dog off quickly with understanding the obedience commands and tools we use, but also gives the owners the hands on approach to learn with their dog as well. Each dog has different needs and time frames for training, so ask us today which program we would recommend for you and your pup!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process is first an evaluation. This gives us the opportunity to meet with the client, as well as their dog. We ensure that all of your concerns are heard, and we also evaluate the relationship between you and your dog. This gives us the information needed to best tailor our training approach to that specific dog, making sure that the result is a well-trained dog with a happy client. Alpha-Moves also offers a lifetime continued support, so if your dog begins to slip into old or bad habits, the client can get the help they need from us anytime!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our lead trainer, Nick, received a certificate of the Master Dog Trainer's course from National K-9 Learning Center in Ohio. He highly recommends this school for anyone who would like to work in this industry. It is a tough school, with written and practical testing, but you get just as much classroom time as you do handling time. They give you full detail of the way that dogs learn, and how dogs operate. Training is not a "one size fits all", and you learn the ins and outs of the types of personalities dogs have.
