We engaged KPS Company to replace the wood trim on our front bay window, specifically requesting Azek material. While the initial consultation was satisfactory, the subsequent execution fell short of expectations. I would like to outline several concerns: · Material Discrepancy: Contrary to our request for Azek, the crew used Royal PVC, providing only one piece of Azek material. · Quality of Work: The work began with two crew members who required substantial guidance. On the first day, they failed to use the smooth side of the PVC trim as intended and displayed inconsistent workmanship in both placement and pattern. · Response to Issues: We communicated our concerns to Peter (the owner), providing photographic evidence and requesting an inspection of the subpar work. Peter visited the next day, acknowledged the mistakes, directed his team to remove and redo the work, rendering the first day’s effort ineffective. · Final Workmanship: Post-rework, the appearance improved; however, some areas still exhibited inconsistencies, suggesting possible shortcuts towards the end of the job. · Completion and Materials: On the third day, the crew returned to finalize tasks such as caulking and filling nail holes. They arrived without all the necessary materials, leading us to provide additional tools and specify the caulk type. Overall, I cannot recommend KPS Company based on this experience. Although the crew worked hard, their need for substantial oversight and the lack of specialized expertise in bay window trim work were significant drawbacks. The absence of the owner on-site required us to manage the project largely on our own by communicating with the two workers on what needed to be fixed.

Pros: Workers seemed to care about the work they were doing. Workers showed up on time. Cons: There was no clean up after work was done. Leaving concrete in my yard, nails in my driveway amd paint on my vinyl siding. It seemed the work done had no thought behind it (i.e. measurements were not taken before job and company kept having to leave the job and come back with appropriate material). Job took longer than quoted. When I expressed my concern with parts of job the "owner" (i don't know what his actual position in the company is) seemed to have endless reasons why I as the customer was wrong and there was no need to adjust his work. Once company received payment the company stopped communicating with me. Work is cheap, for a reason.
