With over 30 years of teaching experience, I love working with students of all ages and skill levels. Each student enjoys a personalized lesson program designed to maximize their progress. At Raleigh Guitar School, now 3 locations (Cary, N. Raleigh, downtown Raleigh) we keep lessons fun, practical, and engaging. In addition to one-on-one instruction, we also offer group lessons and our exciting Rock Show Academy, where students can experience the thrill of playing in a band. Our state-of-the-art lesson materials include interactive video lessons, backing tracks, chord charts, and an extensive A-Z library of thousands of styles and songs.

While I have only taken a few lessons, Jon is teaching new skills on guitar that I haven’t learned in the first few months that I have been playing. He’s very patient and I like that he gives me homework each week to practice and improve my guitar skills. He also makes himself available during the week between lessons. I’m looking forward to learning as much as I can from Jon.

Raleigh Guitar School prices vary from in studio half/hour lesson, online lessons and group lesson discounts.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each student submits a Guitar Student Profile detailing experience level, music style preference, instruments played etc. Lessons and curriculum tailored to each student. Students have an opportunity to perform in student recitals and concerts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have owned guitar schools in Dallas, Cincinnati and Raleigh. As a guitar teacher since 1990 I have taught thousands of students. Many of which continue to play and several are full time professional musicians. I created Rock Show Academy as an outlet for adult guitar students to live the rock star dreams.
