I am not local, but I hired Mike to repair a fence for a client and it was not a good experience. Mike pressure-washed the fence and made some basic repairs which seemed to go fine until I got some photos and saw that the pickets he replaced were not cut off flush with the fence and nails were left sticking out. He uncovered some additional wood rot and we agreed to install some more pickets so it wasn't a big deal, he said he would fix everything on the next trip.
Mike replaced the pickets and said he had finished securing the loose boards and removing the nails on the entire fence. However, I got some photos from the client and the nails were still an issue, and boards were still obviously not screwed in. Mike made a third trip and said he finished. However, that night the neighbors found that Mike had used screws that were too long and had gone through the fence into the neighbor's yard and the screws were a hazard to their children and dogs. Mike had to make a fourth trip out to cut off all the nails that were poking through the fence into the neighbor's yard.
The fact that nails and loose boards were missed over and over and Mike said he was done every single time was a problem. I would not hire Mike again and would warn anyone looking to hire him to look over his work very closely to make sure he isn't leaving hazards that someone could get injured on. He eventually completed the repairs but not without a lot of hassle and wasted time.
