I had a special request of Brent to give my wife a 2-hr crash course in drumming as a birthday present to fulfill a childhood wish. Brent assessed my wife's skill level and then proceeded to show her some techniques on the snare and then the drum set. My wife had a fabulous time playing different patterns on the drum set along with trying various sticks, mallets, brushes, etc.

I have been taking jazz piano lessons from Brent for the past 8 months and I've really enjoyed getting to work with him. He is very knowledgeable on the topic of jazz. Every week we practice improvising over jazz standards and he plays along with me on the piano or sometimes drums of there is a kit in the room. Brent if friendly and cares about his students. Would recommend to anyone wanting to take drum or piano lessons!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The first lesson is $30 for 30 minutes
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first lesson always starts with getting to know each other. It's important for me to get a good sense of your musical ability so we can develop a healthy practice routine. I like to know what kinds of music you listen to, and who your musical heroes are. If you are a completely new to music lessons, that’s ok.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing drums and piano since I was 15. I studied jazz performance at Sonoma State University, and music education at Cal State East Bay. I play several different styles of music, and perform in various bands for a living
