- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing schedule is based on time involved, while I can give a base price that includes bathing, drying/brushing and trimming/clipping. The variables will include if the coat is matted (tangled) that would require more time spent brushing or if there is parasites or if the pet is not used to being handled- we would have to take time socializing or getting the job done. These are things that can't be forseen therefore can't be quoted up front. Other pricing includes missed appointment fees, this will be considered on an individual basis, if you abuse this priviledge you may be asked to pre pay before booking an appointment. As a small business we depend on our schedule, a no show contributes to the overall waiting period for our other customers, please be considerate. Clean up fees are also cosidered, please walk your pet to relieve itself before coming. We do walk twice a day if the pet is staying all day with us.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes constantly, I love knowlege. We subscribe to all the current material in our field as well as the veterinary side and training fields. Cesar Millan is our hero with his insight to animal behaviour we have improved our ways of handling pets to be groomed.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My love of animals, and the need to be self sufficient. I learned to take care of my own then that led to wanting to groom for others.
