Introduction

My name is Katie Childers and I am a full time Muralist/illustrator and owner of Art by Katie Childers LLC. I do custom commissioned artwork, illustrations, and murals, both residential and commercial. I absolutely love what I do and would love to make your vision come to life. My rate is $15-$25/sq ft depending on the level of detail and surface of mural. My design fee is $100-$250 depending on size and detail of design. Designs will give you an idea of how the final product will look.

We asked Katie to paint a couple floor tiles after we had to replace a few that were damaged. We wanted them to match the existing tiles or we were going to have to replace the entire floor. Katie was able to match the style and color of the existing tiles and saved the day! She was very meticulous and professional!

We had Katie out to our farm to do a live mural painting and she knocked it out of the park. We gave her a rough idea of what we wanted the mural to look like and she made our dream come to life. She put in hours of work even before the event started by coming out to sketch the mural and have it “paint ready” the day of our event. She was super easy to work with, very professional, and always kept me in the loop of details or what her next steps were. Would 100% recommend her to anyone and will for sure be a repeat customer!

Pricing varies depending on detail/estimated time of completion. I charge $700/day for murals. Mock-ups are $100 and are included in the final quoted bid.

I make sure to listen to what the customer is wanting, give my feedback on what I can do for them, and then discuss pricing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been an Artist throughout most of my life. I started doing murals part time 3 years ago and full time 1 year ago.
