FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
This project took a bit longer than anticipated but we had a number of weather related delays and then there was the additions to the project that added quite a bit of time as well. These larger more complicated projects often take up to a year to complete. Others sometimes more than that. We finished up one project two years after we started but during the project, the owners bought custom fired tile from Italy. It took over 9 months to acquire the first batch then they had to add additional to it which took another 2.5 months to get in. That coupled with us installing the pool and spa's shell, then leaving while they built the remainder of the house and then coming back at the tail end to complete the remainder of the work. Those are trying jobs at best but we hang in there and complete them no matter what.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We go to trade shows where there's plenty of ongoing training available. We also are avid readers of trade publications both in print and online. We stay abreast of current technology so we can offer our customers the best most advanced products out in the marketplace.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My brother and had been in the building trades business for about 5 years. Had an opportunity to bid a really nice pool for a current customer. Thought we'd like to do that kind of work as the other areas of skill sets we had lent themselves to the pool work. Did that job, turned out fantastic, and the rest is history.
