Hello! I am very excited about all things music. The goal of my teaching is to get you excited about learning how to play. If that means working on nursery rhymes or pop music or reggae and so on, that's 100% fine with me. I have never turned anyone away that wants to learn. I believe that music can change your life for the better, as it has mine, so no matter what your age or experience level take that leap and lets do this together.

Johnny gave flute lessons to my 12 year old granddaughter. They immediately interacted extremely well together. He was able to motivate her that she was practicing between lessons continually and was able to play songs. She looked forward to each lesson. His approach to teaching made it enjoyable . He is professional, and his ability to play the flute was excellent along with his rates very reasonable. I would recommend him and thank you for making this musical experience so positive for her. If you’re looking for a Flute teacher look no further. John is extremely great person let alone teacher. I had played flute in grade school 15+ years ago and wanted to get back into playing in my free time. John is both prepared to follow whatever your interests are or give you guided instructions. John’s feedback is always improved my technique and confidence. I am back to playing like I never didn’t play before. Look forward to working with John further.

Absolutely fantastic! I hired Johnny for flute & clarinet lessons. I had never played woodwinds before but with his instructions, I was able to play songs by the end of the first session! I had both instruments sitting around my house for years and had never been able to figure out how to play them on my own, but he was able to help me figure out the best way to get good quality sounds out of them (which was no easy task considering both instruments were at least 30 years old and were a bit broken). Would definitely recommend Johnny to anyone starting out, especially if you want to learn multiple instruments!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Willing to travel, but would prefer online lessons through zoom. I do offer discounts for paying for multiple lessons at once.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first lesson is typically spent discussing goals and getting a feel for the customers music history/ability. Any and all ages/ playing levels welcome.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Jazz Studies from the Jamey Aebersold Jazz Program at the University of Louisville in Louisville Kentucky. I have also been challenged to play many different genres and styles of music in live settings.
