When I was born, my mom named me Satara Renee’ Brown. Like most families; a nickname was attached to my real name NeNe or they used my middle name Renee’. I did not go by Satara because they would make negative derivatives of my name. I decided it was easier to go by Renee’. When I was in grade/high school, my mom told me that Satara meant “Shining Star”. I was named after one of her male friends who was Indian. Satara is a unisex name and I wanted to trust and believe in that name. I knew Jesus was the Light of the World and I wanted to have the confidence and assurance in my name as my mom did . She spoke life into me from day one. I wish I had looked at what I could be at that time Like she did.
I was the first person in my family to obtain a College 4 year and Graduate degree. I learned that you can live up to a positive name and be that.... if you choose it. I chose it! I choose to fight to be the shining star my mom believed I could be and that the Lord Jesus Christ knew I could be. So, although I made mistakes, and have not always lived up to my name, It is my desire to help others to be able to do well in their God Given lives.
As a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and a praise and worship leader for over 20 years, I have had the opportunity and honor to speak and sing to the nations either as an individual person or media streaming. I am part of amazing church ministry, World Revival Church of KC, Missouri, Pastored by Steve and Kathy Gray.
I have received so much from my current church home, through local ministry change, responsibility changes, sickness and mental changes... I am truly learning that Jesus already choose me... If I choose HIM, life would be a whole lot better... So I Choose Jesus and I will Never Change My Mind!!!
So you can Be A Satara...
Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
