Hi! I'm Christin, team-lead of Conquest of Thread. I've been working as an upholsterer for thirteen years, and in 2020, I was finally able to open up my own shop. We can handle furniture upholstery as well as anything that can fit through our door including automotive and boat upholstery as long as it can be taken out of the car or boat, we do not have outside storage at this time. We also do alterations and clothing repair as well as custom bag and luggage repair. If it needs to be sewn chances are we can do it. Christin and Frankie have done several projects for me that I’ve always been satisfied with, including a custom soft banjo case for me that I love. Christin made sure the flower print of the vintage fabric I brought her was highlighted and got it completed quickly so I could bring it to an event. It’s so cute and unique that people at the event stopped to tell me they loved it and that when they see it, it makes them smile. I pretty much get compliments wherever I take it! They also just completed some chairs for my mom. They were pretty rough going in but they Christin and Frankie worked their magic and they came out great! They got new cushions and fabric, and I actually think they turned out better than new. They make lots of things, so let them know if you have a creative idea, especially involving upholstery or textiles. They will be happy to consult with you to ensure the outcome is something you are happy with. Also, watch for their work when Farewell holds art markets! They make and sell really cool rug/wall hangings, accessories, and even dog toys.
