When we were planning with Sarah I was pretty excited about having some good pictures. They are for an award my friend and I are getting and will be hanging on a plaque at my previous place of employment forever. What a disappointment the photo shoot and resulting pictures were. Sarah was very insistent about shooting outside because of the natural light so we picked an outside location. I specifically asked her if she would make sure my hair looked good etc. We agreed on a price and Sarah said she could do both my friend and I in less than an hour. When I mentioned the cold, Sarah said she likes to shoot outside in the cold as it makes things go faster - I'll say. She was done with both of us in 20 minutes. When we started, she told me where to stand and started shooting. No direction on how to stand, hold head, look, what to do with hands, feet etc I tried to move a bit without direction and she just kept shooting. She did have me stand in a different area once and then I went and changed my shirt and she took a few more. She showed me one of the pictures on her camera and I was disappointed and said "meh". I assumed there would be better ones. She said she would go through the pictures, choose the best 10 or so and "make them perfect". I was shocked when I received them. In a couple I was squinting, several would have been ok but my hair was blowing around. In one I am in front of a sculpture which would have been ok if she had framed it so as not to cut off the top. All in all, just very unprofessional and disappointing. I'm sure Sarah will respond and say that she offered a reshoot or to refund our money, which is true. I can't imagine the reshoot would go any better and I am in a time crunch to have the picture turned in. A refund of our money is fine but what I really wanted were some high quality professional pictures.

Hi Doris- I am sorry that you feel this way. I would be more than happy to reshoot until you are satisfied, as I love my customers to walk away happy with my product. (Seeing my reviews, I rarely have customers dissatisfied with my work.) I sent you a refund. If there's anything I can do to help rectify this, let me know.

Sarah did a good job with my photos. I liked the fact that she was punctual, and she was quick with turning around my photos. Also, she proposed a free re-shoot as it was raining outside. Thank you.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Editing time isn't counted in the cost, so the time it takes me to edit and upload is free to you. The only thing you pay for is booked time (hourly).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We can grab a quick phone call or talk via email, Thumbtack, etc. I will answer all of your questions and walk you through this process!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have professional photography experience with major St. Louis institutions like St. Louis Football Club, Maryville University and St. Louis University. I also have been hired to shoot for corporate brands like Marshalls and Life Time Fitness.
