What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified tuner and technician through American School of Piano Tuning and Repair. I have been a piano and voice teacher for 10 years at Modern Day Music in West St Paul and I have been playing piano and singing for 30 years. This is a plus for using my ear and technique to tune your piano.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I received a piano book for Christmas when I was 17. I was so amazed at the inner workings of the piano! I wanted to tune pianos someday. I went to school for piano teaching and I’ve been teaching voice and piano for ten years. At 38, I decided to look into being a tuner. I am now a certified piano tuner and technician from American School of Piano Tuning and Repair! And boy do I love what I do!!
