I believe there's more to playing the piano than just the technical side of teaching. I believe that playing the piano can be fun, creative, expressive, and enjoyable. Along with teaching the technical methods and basic tools of piano playing, I strive to make each lesson fun, creative, expressive and enjoyable! My students parents are a valuable asset to their childs piano journey, so I work to include them, encourage them and equip them to help their child learn the piano more efficiently (and sometimes they learn the piano along the way too!)
I love to see my students create music. Not just playing notes and being technically correct -- but really seeing each of my students open up and make those notes tell a story. Seeing my students really work at putting their expression into a song and making it their own creation - even with the classicals and sacred music - they put themselves into those pages and what comes back is a beautiful sounding story - MUSIC.
