DPENN Construction completed two projects in my mid-century ranch style home: basement, bedroom remodel and front exterior entry way repair. In a 70 year old home, projects like this are never simple and come with unique challenges. Both projects were completed to my COMPLETE SATISFACTION and met or exceeded all of my expectations. The first thing I would say about DPENN Construction is VALUE. The quality of the work and the attention to meeting my goals for the job spoke directly to value. At every step along the way, David Pennington, immediately responded to all questions and conducted himself with respect for my home and Professionalism in his work. I will call DPENN Construction again when I'm ready for the next project!

We had a ugly unfinished basement with a furnace in the middle of the room. After speaking with multiple contractors we selected Dpenn construction. David was able to creat a floor plan to get that out of the way, now we have a beautiful basement (bedroom, washroom, and bathroom with a walk-in shower). David was easy to work with, honest with pricing and scope of work, and we feel like we got a great value out of the work that was done. Would highly recommend.

Our project started off as a reno for a tiny & ugly basement bath. After interviewing several contractors, only David impressed me with really 'getting' my somewhat unconventional Pinterest-based concept. David really listened and delivered! And on budget!! And - this deserves a drumroll - his communication throughout the project was excellent. He (and his subs) would be here as scheduled and I knew exactly what was going on every step of the way. If a challenge popped up - this is a 1931 home, so it was to be expected - David already had choices for approaches to deal with it. I continued to be impressed with his quality and ended up tackling the basement family room reno with his help too. David's the only contractor I'll be calling for help with my future reno projects. His results speak for themselves.

We would highly recommend DPenn Construction. Our basement presented some challenges because it had been framed before we moved in. The space between 2x4’s was off and the wiring wasn’t done right. It may have cost us additional money however it was dealt with in a timely manner and they were able to stay on time. We feel David was very approachable if there was something we didn’t like and he took care of it. The communication was excellent. The bathroom turned out amazing. The person that he had come in do the window woodwork was top notch! We actual would have friends over and they would comment on the work and ask for his number for work on their home. We recently moved and the well finished basement I believe helped to sell our home quickly!

We hired DPENN Construction to finish our basement - multiple rooms, around 800 square feet. We are extremely pleased with the final product. It is a beautiful and very functional basement.
We ran into a number of challenges along the way (as can be expected with a project of this magnitude), and the one thing I was (and still am) consistently amazed by is David's communication abilities. If something was late, we knew when it should arrive and why it was late. If we would have someone dropping by the house, we were warned. If it was going to be loud on a given day, he would let us know. David was a great guy to work with, and all of the contractors he worked with were friendly and professional.
David also listened to what we wanted and gave helpful suggestions. At times a vent would go through an unexpected area or a door wouldn't fit quite how we wanted, we worked together to figure out a solution. We appreciated the collaboration immensely.
We would highly recommend working with DPENN Construction.
