I had closed on my new home in the spring of 2020, and I had not realized that some sort of covering for my exterior posts was not in my build contract. I wanted a bit of curb appeal, and Matt had responded to my ad with a few different options at different price points. He had mentioned also that he was not a professionally trained carpenter and has actually only wrapped a few posts, so his price would reflect accordingly, and he would not consider his work done until I gave him 100% approval. The honesty & his general demeanor put my mind at ease & it was a no brainer at that point.
We agreed on a product and he was out the next morning. The first post took quite a while and when it was done, the seams were slightly off. Enough to be noticeable, but I was fine with it anyways... He wasn’t.
Before I could say it was okay he had already torn everything off the post, & was already ripping down the trim boards to replace it. His 2nd attempt took 1/5th the time that the first one did, & I was absolutely blown away by the finished product.
In the year following I have also hired Matt to install mulch, shutters, and hang various pieces of art inside. Everything he does he puts all of his effort into, I have and will continue to recommend his services.
