Introduction
I started my bartending career at the age of 25 after being inspired by a traveling bartender. Admiring the flexibility of the position, as well as the opportunity it presented to explore, I started my career at Bennigans with the intention of eventually moving into a travel position and planned to explore a variety of bar settings to develop adaptability in the trade. Of the many different skills I obtained, I pride myself most on excellent customer service, fast pace, craft beer/cocktail/alcohol knowledge as well as strong work ethic and dependability. As a career bartender, I have worked high volume bars such as those for nationwide events in South Dakota and Florida, in large cities such as Denver Colorado, and a variety of fine dining establishments in Minnesota. These include Bennigans (Alexandria, MN), Pike and Pint (Alexandria, MN), Brick and Bourbon (St. Cloud Minnesota), Golf Settings such as: Alexandria Golf Club (Lead Bartender) St. Cloud Country Club (Membership/Events Director) as well as Lake Side experience at the Historic Rock Tavern (Big Birch Lake). I possess 12 years of bartending and hospitality experience in a variety of roles including Lead Bartender, Event Planning/Coordination, Event and Membership Director, and General Manager. Regardless of the Event you intend to host, we can accommodate everything you need and more!

Brandy was our mobile bar tender for a work event we had in December. She was quick to help create a personalized menu, and answer any questions we had regarding the event. The event attendees loved all of the drinks, and enjoyed getting to know Brandy and learn about her business. She has a passion for what she does, and it shows in her work. We can’t wait to throw another event with the Braided Chain Bar!

I did not have a good experience with this spot. Initially, the communication was spot on and the owner, Brandy, made me feel confident with hiring them and trusted that they would see the job through completion. Things took a turn 4 days before my event date (event date: 12/14/2024). Note, the communication started to lack in October. I reached out with a question, no response. I reached again a week prior to my event to ensure things were on track, no response. She finally contacted me 4 days before my event to state that she put the business on hold as she been in the hospital. I paid a deposit mid October. At first, Brandy indicated that I wouldn’t get a refund and could put it towards a future event and get a 20% discount. While, I sympathize with her being in the hospital but her resolution was not acceptable as my event was 4 days away and I have to hire some one quick. I’m not an event planner. This was a one time event for my 40th birthday. I demanded a refund as this was no fault of mine. She agreed that it was not my fault but offered to repay me when she can as she depleted her business account. That’s not how you do business. 1) She should’ve immediately notified me when things were going south with her business or have someone reach out to me. 2) immediately refund my deposit before she emptied her account. 3) Doing so, would allow me time to book another vendor for my event. How my deposit is not readily available? Why another bar tender wasn’t readily available? Website is misleading. Their lack of communication and mishandling of funds left me in a bad situation. Please rake caution with hiring this Pro. Bad business! However, Thumbstack intervened and rectified the situation timely by refunding my deposit and would go after the Pro for reimbursement.
