We just had Curt at Marty's Stump Removal grind 5 tree stumps this week on our property and it couldn't have gone better. He was on time and removed and cleaned up all 5 stumps in approximately 1 hour. I wasn't familiar with stump grinding costs and haven't hired anyone to do this before, but I received top notch service with the lowest quoted rate. It didn't hurt that, as he explained, had a large and nimble stump grinding machine which was both effective and didn't leave a huge mess. I would definitely recommend and will be using again in the future.

Had a sickly crab tree and an overgrown globe arborvitae in our front yard. These guys did an awesome job with the removal and stump grinding of both plants. Curt went down three feet with the stump grinder and tore out a lot of large roots by hand so we can replant in the same spots. The work area was cleaned up very nicely and they saved as much of the grass as they could. All for a fair price. We couldn’t be happier!

I have been stump grinding for the past five years. I run Marty's Stump Removal as my side business, my full time job I am a Civil Engineer.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
My name is Curt, my Father-In-Law (Marty) started the business in 1985, clearing out major wooded areas that later became major highways for the state of Minnesota. Most recently the grinder has been working residential and commercial properties. I took over all operations beginning in 2017.
