FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is straightforward and super-competetive, and can be seen on the rates page of the F5 SoundHouse website. That said, there is a lot that goes into making a radio-ready record, and a lot more that goes into getting ready for a successfully release. We consult with artists at no charge, so there's no pressure. Just a conversation to figure out how we can be most helpful to you and your career. In addition to the record production and mentorship, I personally do a select number of songwriting/guitar/voice students. Those lessons are done on an hourly basis, and might include demo recording or music business training. It's all about what the student needs most.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It all starts with a meeting to find out how we work together. Email, phone or Skype are fine, meeting in person is obviously better!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While also helping run the companies, I studied audio production and engineering and Pro Tools at both IPR and MMI in Minneapolis. My BA was completed in 1991. I've also been through the music "school of hard knocks." Landed a record deal, made the record, and the economy collapsed (and so did the labels). I learned a lot from that experience, and now, I bring that knowledge and experience to the studio every day.
