We typically have a very fast response time. Our technicians are experienced and properly trained. We use only steam to quickly and safely remove your ice dam(s). What I like most about ice dam removal is providing help to people in need. We constantly deal with people in tears they are so upset that there is water leaking into their home. Being able to give people instant relief by telling them that "we're on our way" is extremely gratifying!

In February we had record snowfall in Boston. People were looking left and right to find people to clear roofs. The TV news was full of stories of people taking advantage of the situation charging $600 per hour per man. I started to have water pouring through my ceilings so I did an Internet search for somebody to clear my roof. I found and called the ice dam guys. I was told a crew would be out that day. At 7:30 pm a crew drove up my driveway, setup and got to work! They worked for four hours clearing my roof. The workers were great guys who kept letting me know how it was going. The only thing that would have made it better was if they had been on my roof February 1st through February 28th! Thank you Ice Dam Guys!

We had a record snowfall here in Idaho last winter, (over 48 inches overall without let-up and 16 inches in one night,) and it all was more than any one family could handle. Locally, many structures had already collapsed from the build-up and we were very concerned about the weight on our roof of 3 feet of compressed snow, not to mention the terrible ice dams! We called Ice Dam Guys, and they were terrific. Easy to reach, good, fast, polite customer service. They scheduled us the next day and got to work on our emergency situation. Two men showed up early and began the much needed melting of the ice dams and snow removal. They worked a half-day and cleared off the majority of snow from two structures, (we have a guest house,) and more importantly all of the ice. I can't say I've met a nicer, politer, more efficient crew than these two men. I would recommend them to anyone, anytime. We can't tell you how glad we are that we called Ice Dam Guys. We were rewarded with fast, courteous, efficient service at a cost of a fraction of what a new roof and walls would have cost. Many of our neighbors were not as fortunate. I hope you never face a winter like ours, but if it gets bad, these guys are the greatest! Thanks, Ice Dam Guys!

We had an unusually severe winter in Bend, OR (2016-2017) – 5 feet of snow from early December to mid-January, with virtually no melting in between snow storms. As a result, thick ice dams (several inches thick) developed on our eaves, particularly on the north side of the house. At about 1 AM a slow drip started in the master bedroom. Later that morning before I went to work I went to work, I called Ice Dam Guys. Ty showed up within the hour & started working. He worked virtually non-stop for 6 hours to clear that ice dams (as I said the ice dams were very thick – 6 or more inches in some places - & our roof has a steep pitch, which made his job that much more difficult). When I got home from work, Ty showed me what he had accomplished & offered to do more. He was friendly, courteous, professional, very hard working & very effective. He nipped the problem in the bud for us. The slow drip stopped & there was no real damage to the inside of the house or the attic. It was a pleasure doing business with Ice Dam Guys & with Ty in particular!

Most severe winter in Idaho in 33 years. After noticing two ice dams on my roof, on a Sunday morning, I called the Ice Dam Guys and left a voice mail message. I received a prompt return phone call. Jay answered all of my questions and an appointment was set for Monday morning – super quick. The three man crew arrived on-time, explained the process, and promptly started removing the ice dams. I was impressed with the professionalism of the crew, and the speed at which they worked. The ice dams were removed within 45-minutes and the crew removed additional snow from the roof, keeping the entire job to the minimum of one hour. The employees are rugged individuals. The lead of the three man crew is a hunting guide and Iraq war veteran. The other two individuals are outdoorsman. It takes a special type of person do the demanding and dangerous job of accessing a snowy roof in the winter, and dealing with the elements. Jay did an exceptional job of following-up to verify if I was satisfied with the work and Jay has always been available to answer questions. The cost for the services was well worth the investment. The alternative was risking water penetrating into my house, and the hassle of remediation. Plus, the cost of removing the ice dams from my roof was lower than my insurance deductible, should damage have occurred and I had to file an insurance claim.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of our work is performed "by the hour" and the hourly rate fluctuates throughout the season. If you wait until your roof is leaking you can rest assure that everyone else's roof is also leaking. Prices increase with the demand. Call before your roof is leaking and you're almost guaranteed to save hundreds of dollars vs. waiting until you have water running down your walls!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Ice Dam Removal was a nice addition to our commercial and residential snow removal operations. We began performing ice dam removal in 1996.
