We had Asher come replace our ugly carpet upstairs with wood flooring. It was our least favorite part of the house. It's our favorite space in the house now. I have to really stress that Asher Flooring did an absolutely stunning job! I typically try to do everything myself because: 1. I'm frugal (aka cheap). 2. I always assume that my projects are more important to me than they are to anyone else. You know, "if you want something done right..." Jeff cared more about this flooring project than I did, is a true artist and price was beyond fair. Jeff explained everything to me as it was happening, obliged me when I was being nosey, and was even great with my two dogs (if you're a dog person, you get it). We're gonna have him back again to refinish the existing hardwood in the rest of the house. It's great to find someone truly talented who you can trust. I kinda wish Jeff also fixed cars, appliances, did plumbing, and my taxes. ;)

Jeffrey was wonderful to work with on my kitchen floor project. He helped me get the design I wanted and worked with me to keep the project within my budget. He completed the floor in the time he said he would and the end product looked beautiful. I would definitely recommend Asher Flooring.

Horrible experience. Scheduled him to come out and do an estimate but he never showed. He text messages me later and said we could reschedule. Prior to that appointment he text messages me and asked me if he missed a previous appointment date. I suggest you run not walk from Asher flooring.

Jeffrey was very professional and knowledgeable. He got down on his hands and knees to look at and explain my options for sanding and using a water based poly. I also had Jeffrey patch in a few spots and remove some ugly transitional pieces I had used. Jeffrey and his assistant were prompt,and did what they said they would do. The project was started within a week and 4 days later it was finished. Asher flooring beat the pricing of a competitor by hundreds of dollars. The end result was outstanding, the old color of the wood was sanded off and the new color was exactly what we had hoped for. Jeffrey did a beautiful job of installing new wood which eliminated my ugly transition pieces, the end result of this is a flowing wood pattern not disrupted by transition seams. Kudos to Thumbtack. My request for bids were answered within hours by very experienced and professional craftsman.

What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common type of job Asher Hardwood Flooring does is installing new floors, and refinishes existing hardwood floors. We have been specializing in hardwood flooring for 15 years. But, we also install all type of carpeting. With 15 years in the industry we have done a lot of trades work, so if you need trim installed, painting, drywall hang, or any handy man work wile we are in your home we would be glad to take care of it.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that you are well educated by the estimator in the bidding process. Knowing what will happen when they do come in your home to do the work. Make sure that you trust the people that will be coming into your home. Check their references, not just the ones that they give you but also online reviews. Don't hire the cheapest person you find, just like anything else cheapest is not always the best. Hardwood flooring is the best thing that you can do to upgrade to home with 110% return on your investment.
