- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $35 for a half-hour lesson and $60 for an hour lesson. This includes travel to your home! I also teach virtually.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I learn what artists a student listens to, and I tailor my lessons to help the student play the music they love. For piano lessons, I prefer the Piano Adventures series, mixing in popular music when applicable. For guitar lessons, if the child is 6-9, I find it's best to use method books to guide the learning process (Mel Bay, Hal Leonard, etc.). For older students and adults, I usually begin by teaching chords, strumming patterns, and picking techniques and applying these to songs they like!
