Introduction

I hold a doctoral degree in guitar performance. I am a passionate educator with over 15 years of experience. My college textbook is implemented by the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) and Duke University. I offer in-person and online CLASSICAL GUITAR lessons. Although I implement the classical guitar approach in my teaching, all my students learn how to play a variety of popular styles. I won numerous prizes at classical guitar competitions, including the First Prize at the 2018 Hong Kong Altamira International Guitar Competition. I played concerts and gave masterclasses and lectures worldwide - in Australia, China, Europe, and North and Latin America. Since 2024, I started investing most of my time into composing classical music and creating educational materials. It was my dream to learn how to play guitar, but it seemed that I couldn't find the right instructor. After a few failed attempts, I was close to giving up. But then my friend told me about Moma, who taught his cousin how to play. And we clicked from the very first class. We've been working for about 2 years now, and I've never missed a class ever since then. You should see my fingers now, flying over the fretboard and strings. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer only 60-min lessons, because this is the best way to learn the classical guitar. We can meet online via Zoom, or you can come to my place in South Uptown Minneapolis. I travel to your place only if we agree on meeting 4 times a month.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first ask my students about specific reasons for taking classical guitar lessons and the amount of time that they can invest into weekly practicing. The next step is to come up with repertoire pieces, technical exercises, as well as theoretical and historical knowledge necessary for their best development.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Doctoral degree in classical guitar performance from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.
