Introduction

Carolyn is a permanent Master Nationally Certified Music teacher with 45+ years of teaching, performing & adjudicating events and competitions. She adjudicates for Minnesota Music Teachers Association Piano, Ensemble, Contest and Theory exams. Carolyn holds a Master's Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy. Carolyn has performed for many events and has released a CD. Tuition for piano lessons is as follows: There are 38 private lessons available during the year. There is a 10% tuition reduction for payments made annually. Lessons shown are for 30 minute sessions. We also offer 45 or 60 minute lessons by request. • 30 minute sessions: $160 per month or one yearly payment of $1920-minus a10% discount for annual payment-$1728.

Carolyn is a wonderful piano teacher. My daughter started with Carolyn 2 months ago and absolutely loves her. She has innovative programs that engage the students in learning music in addition to offering traditional lessons.

Carolyn has been very responsive and professional throughout this process. In spite of having many other piano instructors on your list, she was one of only three who responded. She also did so in a way that was respectful of my individual situation and I feel like I'm getting my particular needs addressed. I'm just having my second lesson with her tomorrow, but so far am very pleased.

Carolyn started lessons with my 5 year old daughter this past fall and my daughter (and us) are loving it! My daughter has learned and memorized songs and is confident to share with anyone that will listen. Carolyn is patient, encouraging and flexible. Our daughter is learning hand position, writing and reading music from different age appropriate tools. We are happy we found her and excited to continue working with her!

I just started my piano lessons about 4 months ago and I have been very impressed with how much I am learning. Carolyn has an extensive music background and she is so friendly and comfortable to work with. I highly recommend her as a piano teacher. She stretches you to go beyond your comfort zone with music that I truly enjoy playing. I am learning so much about reading music and music theory. She does not overload you but reviews bits and pieces as they fall into place with the pieces you practice. I can't believe how much I am learning. I am very pleased.

Great piano teacher. Carolyn keeps older students motivated by letting them pick current songs to learn and perform at recitals. Carolyn was very helpful in scheduling my daughter's lessons around her participation in high school swimming and nordic skiing. She understood that my daughter wanted to continue playing piano but was having some issues with time constraints. My daughter started lessons with another teacher and transferred to Carolyn during middle school. She stated she probably would have quit piano if not for switching to Carolyn.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My Tuition is based on 12 equal payments of $130 a month.All lessons, books, group lessons, awards and incentives, use of extensive music library and music enhancement programs, recitals and performances are included. Please see my website tuition information page for detailed information.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a free introductory lesson to see if we are a good fit for each other.

Masters degree in Piano performance and pedagogy. 39+ years of teaching experience.
