Nancy, I wish there weren’t any down sides to your big day. We truly do strive to give our clients the best day possible. After talking to both you and our DJ I would like to address a few points made in your review. We would love to be at every rehearsal, but that can be very costly when you factor in gas and lodging for the DJ. As a way to lower our costs, we may not be able to be at a rehearsal to go over everything the day before. That is why our policy is to show up with no less than 2 hours before an event. This way we have time to speak with the officiant, who is the person who typically oversees the ceremony. We do make every effort to make sure the music is how you envision it on your big day. With that in mind, there will always be things that happen out of our control. For example, maybe someone in the wedding party forgets when and where to walk, because they are nervous to be in front of a crowd. We are all human and little mistakes like this can happen. As far as the reception goes, our DJ always strives to interact with the crowd and will go out and mingle with them to see what music they are into. Also, all DJs are entitled to leave their station for short periods of time during their performance. They may need to grab a refreshment, use the restroom or speak with another person involved with the day and timings. Such as, asking when the bartender would like last call to be or asking when tables will be cleared out of the way for dancing. They are trained to ensure music will be playing during the times they may need to step away. A request sheet is always provided for guests at every reception. We do try to play as many songs as possible, but we may not get to every song due to time restraints. I also understand that you were upset that the shoe game wasn’t played, but it was offered. If our clients decline a suggested event we will not push the matter. We believe our prices are very fair and we intentionally price below the average going rate for a DJ. We do this because we know weddings are expensive and this was one thing we could do to ease the stress of our clients. Finally, our DJs will never leave early without our clients say so. It is my understanding that about half of the expected people showed up for this event and that things didn’t go as planned because of this. Our DJ would have stayed until 11:00pm like our contract stated, but you chose to ask him to pack up. So, to say he left early makes it sounds like he up and left when in reality you asked him to leave early. When it comes to being in the customer service field, we realize no matter how we may try we can’t please everyone. Sometimes no matter how you try there is no way to please your client 100% and I believe this is one of those times. We have confidence in our DJs and their abilities to provide the best possible experience to our clients. They go above and beyond in many cases. We are proud of them and the service they provide!
