FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do have some standard pricing that we try to stick by, but we offer a wide range of services that have different price ranges. Most of our services are between $65 and $85 per hour for one technician, and anywhere from $20-$40 per hour for each additional technician. We only do the very highest quality of work, and therefore sometimes are not the cheapest. However, we have an almost zero service call rate, and offer a lifetime warranty on any wiring that we install. If there is ever any problem with something that we have done due to installation error, or manufacturer defect, the labor to make any repairs needed are of no cost to you forever.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I can typically get a feel for what a new customer is looking for over the phone. But, I really don't like having any unexpected costs coming up after a price has been given. That's why I always recommend doing an on-site consultation. We do them completely free of charge, and don't use any high pressure tactics to get a customer. I like to make sure that every customer is well educated on what they are purchasing, so they can make the best decision for themselves in the end, even if that doesn't mean we get the job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing security and custom electronics installations for 30 years now. I am a nationally certified fire alarm technician, as well as certifications for security alarm and access control installations, IP surveillance systems installations, and integration of all of them. I am an authorized retailer of Denon and Boston Acoustics audio components, Yamaha audio, URC Universal Remote Controls, RTI automation and controls, and DSC, Honeywell, and GE security and fire alarm products. I have also have a few custom builders that I have worked side by side with on projects for more than 10 years each to build a complete theater room, entertainment/media cabinet, or complete home remodeling.
