Was all set up to have a deck job performed today and about 1.5 hours before the time to show up, he called and advised that could not perform the work that day. When I asked when could he do it, got (1) maybe in 4 days and (2) can you find somebody else. Obviously, the contractor got a more desirable job lined up and waited til last minute to get out of my job. When I told him I had hired him, he advised I did not sign a contract. At that point I said "forget it" and hung up. Quite disappointing and not very considerate of a customer... lesson learned....
