I have tuned pianos in homes, churches, schools, and concert venues for over 28 years. I thoroughly inspect the piano for any needed repairs, regulations, voicing, or re-stringing. I use the most advanced technology on the market - an electronic Sanderson Accutuner IV that allows me to precisely tune your piano to 440Hz (radio frequency) in about one hour. My clients are highly satisfied and continue to work with me for many years. They love to play on their freshly tuned piano. Peter was absolutely amazing from the very second I reached out on Thumbtack. I told my Mother “I think I just found our guy!” I sent a message through the app and Peter literally responded in less than a minute at 11:30p at night. We wanted to get my 93 year old Mother’s piano tuned for Christmas and were not sure if there would be time with the holiday less than a week away. Peter asked if I was still up and if I wished to be contacted right away to which I replied “yes” and my phone rang immediately. Wow! Talk about responsiveness! He squeezed us into a very busy schedule and was timely, professional and an absolute joy to get to know! He came to tune a piano and to check to see if it needed any repairs, but left as a friend! What a joyful heart and an incredible life story as we got to know him during his time with us. We could have just let him tune the piano but his background is so intriguing that we would have missed out on so much if we didn’t ask. It was truly a wonderful Christmas surprise for us and the piano sounds amazing! Peter is incredibly professional, beautifully authentic, friendly, does amazing work and is incredibly responsive. He left us feeling so blessed not just by his piano expertise but also by his beautiful self. Thank you Peter! You were awesome! I wanted to get my piano tuned as a surprise Christmas gift for my wife and even though I initially messaged Peter at midnight, he responded promptly, then worked with me throughout the next day to set up an appt which we were able to do, and by the time my wife came home that day he was literally walking to his car bc he'd just finished tuning our piano at our house (all of this happened within a 20hr time frame--starting with my initial msg & finishing with Peter having tuned my piano in time to surprise my wife [FYI she was the most overjoyed I'd ever seen her & Peter went above and beyond to help me create this experience for her]). Also, Peter was very understanding, flexible, enjoyable to talk casually with while he tuned the piano, seemed very knowledgeable & professional, and an all-around enjoyable person to interact with. Plus, the final cost he charged me for the piano tuning seemed perfectly reasonable and I didn't feel like he was trying to take advantage of my complete lack of knowledge regarding what is a fair/avg fee for getting a piano tuned not to mention he could've easily pretended that my piano had additional issues needing fixing and added a bunch of additional expenses to the price of the tuning--but he didn't and I think this is what many ppl searching for a good piano tuning service would be most concerned with. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, PETER.

Peter was great. He arrived on time was congenial and got right to work. Our piano had not been tuned in several years and needed a lot of TLC. Peter made some adjustments to the piano and replaced some of the parts at no additional cost. All and all it was a great experience. For some reason it will not let me check professionalism or Value. Both were great.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I explain the procedure of A-440 tuning as well as gradual tuning and if I find any additional repairs and/or reguations. You don't have to remember to call for the next appointment, I will do that for you. I can also let you know what year your piano was made!
