Introduction

I began my face painting journey volunteering at the annual White House Egg Roll in 2010. I documented my volunteer experience in a local community newspaper the Greenbelt News Review. After volunteering at The White House again in 2011, I relocated to my hometown of Detroit and continued face painting at my neighborhood block parties. This event brought about one referral after another and in June 2014, Pumpkin Faces was born. I have patience and this is essential when working with little people. I engage my clients while painting and their conversations stem from their likes, favorite sports or even what they enjoy about school. I adore witnessing their smiles once their designs are complete - pure joy. Please note: If you decide to book me, I will email you my service agreement to complete, as well, I require a 50% booking fee to secure your date. Thank you.

Jennifer from "Freestyle" recommended by Pumpkin Faces was very friendly, talented, unique, and worked straight through her 2 hour shift (I think she added a few minutes) and each face painting she did was different and perfect for each customer. Thank you, Jennifer!

Ciara did an excellent job today and the kids loved her art! They were too excited that they had their faces done then came back for their hands! She was on point with everything I definitely recommend hiring Ciara for parties/birthdays and would do it again!

Pumpkin Faces did my daughter’s virtual unicorn paint party for her 5th birthday, and the kids had a blast!!! Ciara was easy to work with, professional and the kids loved her!!! We will definitely be using Pumpkin Faces again!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a nominal travel fee plus the face painting cost if the location is 30 plus miles (each way) from my home base of $0.55 per/mile. If you book my service 24 hours or less before, I require FULL payment upfront via electronic payment (Cash App, Zelle, Venmo, PayPay).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get a full understanding of my customers needs for their event via one or more forms of communication - via Thumbtack messaging, emailing and/or phone call.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a health care educational background, so I familiar and cognizant of hand hygiene and cleanliness. I have been artistic all of my life. I fell in love with art as a young girl.
