I am an Interior Designer and specialize in residential interiors for active empty-nesters (like me)! Homes reflecting your new lifestyle + taste. Vibrant Midcentury meets Hollywood Glam style with your personality finally showcased. I strive to create spaces that are a perfect backdrop for my clients’ lives, reflecting their personalities and celebrating their new chapter in life. I am the principal designer and owner of Horizon Interior Design. I graduated from Oakland University in 1998 with a Master in Physical Therapy, and enjoyed a successful career as a therapist. I worked in orthopedics and home care, and found it interesting to see the environments in which my clients lived.
I grew a passion for interiors over the years, yearning to create comfortable and beautiful spaces. I received a degree from the Interior Design program at Baker College in 2016, started my own business and haven't looked back!

I had my home repainted over a year ago, and was looking for someone to help with decorating my kitchen, dining room and living room. (These rooms are very large with no separating walls; and it's an open space with cathedral ceilings.) I wanted to make everything feel colorful and welcoming, but had no idea had to do that myself. Kori was able to provide me with a layout and decorative ideas using interior design software. This was AMAZING as I am a very visual person. Kori was able to help me decide a color palette, wall art, decorative accents, and furniture placement. I was simply mind-blown by the process and how she was able to turn my vision into reality! I would definitely use her again, as well as refer her services.

Thank you Kori and JAM Home Services for transforming the second bathroom and laundry in my small home. This was not an easy job.I met with Kori, to talk about the project. She had great ideas, and came up with a floor plan. Kori and JAM worked together to get as much out of the space as possible. They were able to avoid the problems that working in a home built in 1945 might involve.JAM did their best to minimize the disruption of our home and cleaned up every day. They were always polite and cheerful, a pleasure to have around.The space is only 10.5 x 10.5 but we now have a beautiful tiled shower and floors, a much larger vanity and a laundry area complete with a utility sink and storage!These rooms were almost unusable, they are now a beautiful, comfortable, efficient space!We LOVE it!I would recommend Kori Steigerwald at Horizon Interior Design for her expertise in interior design. Her choice of materials and fixtures worked beautifully with the rest of my home. Would I use her services again? YES!

I havent worked with an interior designer before. I knew I wanted a change but I didnt know anything else. I went on Next Door and they had the highest number of positive reviews. I interviewed a few but they stood out, really easy to talk with. I asked for help in making it my own place and I hoped people would like it. They helped me accomplish both, and I highly recommend them. Im very happy with the process and the results.

It has been a truly wonderful experience. Her creativity, intuitiveness and expertise stood out. She can hone in on color tints better than anyone. When the wall color or furniture pieces are installed they all blend beautifully. She not only redecorated my living room, but helped to update the surrounding areas with smaller pieces so it all blended. I plan on doing more with Kori and her team in the near future. Getting on board with Horizon Interior's was one of my better decisions.
