Introduction
Thank you for considering me for all of your property maintenance, repair, upgrades, and remodeling projects. I am a licensed builder and have years of experience in carpentry, tile installation, electrical repairs, plumbing repairs, wood repair, painting and many other handyman type jobs. When requesting a quote through Thumbtack it is best to leave a detailed description of the work you need completed and a picture if at all possible. I just started advertising on Thumbtack, that is why I do not have any reviews.

I hired Joe ("Sherwood Handyman") this past summer, first to do a carpentry repair on an exterior door threshold that was improperly installed years ago. When I saw the quality of his work, and that he took this relatively small job quite seriously, I then asked him to take on a bathroom tile repair/replacement, where he did another rock solid job even though it was not a huge project. After this, I hired him to install new kitchen cabinets and countertops -- they look great -- and lastly he replaced an exterior door for me that, again, had been poorly installed many years ago.
Joe is not the cheapest handyman out there -- I've employed several other guys over the years -- but he is, in my view, the best.
I've had handymen who lied to me, who did amateurish work, who didn't show up when they said they would, and who ripped me off by overcharging for substandard work. Joe did none of these things, and on top of this, he did a great job on all of the tasks I had for him.
While I initially wondered if his price was high, I got over that quickly when I saw he was conscientious, on time, and reliable in his assessments and estimates of what needed to be done, how long it would take and what jobs would cost. He communicated effectively and did what he said what he would do.
You get what you pay for, and I quickly realized as I saw Joe's work that he was someone whose contact information would remain in my list of trusted contractors, no ifs ands or buts.

He was very friendly and professional. His work was high quality and I definitely would hire him again. He put up two shades and two sets of drapes and I couldn't be happier with the results. I highly recommend him.
