FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My fees are competitive; however, I often donate shows to charitable causes. Two examples are Kandu and The Mona Shores Optimists. Pricing ranges from $150 for an hour of close-up magic or for a children's birthday party to $250 for a one-hour stage performance. I am often asked to combine the two formats, as in an hour of close-up/table hopping with a half hour of stand-up magic for the whole group. I tailor each show to meet the exact entertainment needs of the client.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The customer usually reaches out to me after viewing my Thumbtack profile and/or my website. The first question for me is usually "Are you available on the date of our event?" If I am available, the client usually wants fee information. I always try to offer my best service for a fee that fits their budget. Then we will discuss the logistics of the event (number of attendees, venue, times, etc). It is important that I know as much as possible about the clients, whether they are a company, a commercial establishment, or the family of a birthday child, in order to bring the most appropriate show to them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a B.A. in psychology, an M.A. in creative writing, and I am a member of the IBM (International Brotherhood of Magicians). In 2006, the IBM awarded me with the Best Stage Magician Award.
