- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depending on the type and scale of job, an estimate may be provided over the phone or a home visit may be required. The Quote will be a guaranteed fixed price. For longer projects, progress payments may be requested throughout the completion of work. Changes/amendments can be made by the customer if they change their mind about something or want added services.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I will first perform a home visit after some initial text or phone conversation. The area will be inspected, measurements taken, etc. After the initial meeting, a fixed quote will be generated within 72 hrs and sent via email or text message. After agreeing and digitally signing the contract, the work will be scheduled and the down payment is due 48 hrs before the start of work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked with my father (The Works Home Improvements) for 7 years as well as several other remodeling contractors before starting my business in 2022. I have completed the required formal class education for passing the the Michigan Residential Builders License test. Total 10+ years experience.
