Mr. Saunders is a pedagogically sound professional with knowledge of a wide range of vocal styles and has helped my daughter improve remarkably during her time taking lessons with him. He is also a fantastic piano teacher. My daughter's lessons were well organized and productive. She thoroughly enjoyed his sense of humor as well. Ben is the most genuine and professional person you will ever find. He took my daughter's voice to a completely different level. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lesson tuition is charged monthly: • 30 min. lesson each week - $120/month • 45 min. lesson each week - $180/month • 60 min. lesson each week - $240/month
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first consultation lesson is free! In the first lesson, I assess the student’s capability to establish their skill level and areas of improvement. We also discuss any musical goals toward which they would like to work. Based on the assessment, we create an individualized, tailored plan based on the student’s strengths, learning style, and the needed areas of improvement to help them progress to achieve their goals. We also find the best lesson time based on the student’s schedule.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated with distinction from Northern Arizona University with a Masters of Music Degree and was awarded the 2020 NAU Outstanding Graduate in Master of Music. I graduated Summa cum Laude from Weber State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. I have been teaching private music lesson for over 15 years, and have taught over 100 students in total. I studied private voice with Dr. Karen Brookens, Gary Sorensen, and Marta Gutierez. I also studied private piano with Dr. Gerta Wiemar, Melinda Tall, and Misty Wiese.
