I had last-minute hopes of having a family photo shoot as a gift to my parents (it was their combined birthday celebration and 35th wedding anniversary). I was really hoping to capture my parents and siblings at this golden time of their lives - my parents are 35 years strong, their 3 kids are happily married, etc. We've never done anything like this, we've never had a photo shoot before and didn't know what to expect. Thanks to AJ, hope became a reality, and we will treasure these forever! AJ accommodated my family and I SUPER last minute for our family portraits. He met us all at a random GR-area park on a Sunday evening (he'd never been there, we'd never been there, I just picked it based on Google images) and he was super professional and fun to work with! Despite having spent that whole day photographing a wedding in Muskegon, AJ showed up for us with somehow still plenty of energy and was awesome to work with. He even stayed a few extra minutes capturing individual face-shots of some family members they'd asked for in the moment, which I was touched by! I will always be grateful to AJ for this wonderful experience and I would highly, highly recommend him across the board for any of your professional photography needs.

I reached out to AJ about the possibility of doing a family shoot while we were in Grand Rapids for the weekend. A lot of our schedule was unknown, and he was very flexible and willing to work with me to find a good time that worked for him and our family. We also communicated a couple of times to find the best location based on what I was looking for. Due to a family emergency on my end, I had to cancel the photo shoot. AJ was very understanding and refunded me my deposit. So although I cannot directly speak to the quality of the work due to extenuating circumstances, AJ was very professional and I would reach out to him again if I was in Grand Rapids in the future.
