The cost of services is not as important to us as much of the needs of our clients. With that said here are some of the services we offer: Hoarding situations: Hoarding Michigan is very concerned with hoarding. It is a terrible disease and situation to be in. We are here to stand with you and work through your situation. We will come out and do an assessment of the project, talk with you about your goals and set a path to bring you success in your life. Every situation is different and we are here to help. We are a one-stop place to help you work through your project. Decluttering Small-Scale and Whole-Home Projects: This is a service where the client is or is not at the job site. Maybe they just want to rid their home of things or it may be a situation where the client has moved to a different location and need their previous home cleaned out to make it ready for sale. We come out to the site to give you an honest assessment of how much the cost will be. Organizing Situations: Hoarding Michigan will come out and help you organize whatever you need help with. We start with a base price and if more time is needed we will come up with a flat rate to help you finish your project. We will then steer you on the right path to help you stay organized with the various options we have. Please let us help you. You need to control your home, not your home controlling you.

We hired Hoarding Michigan to help up clean out our house prior to moving and they did a spectacular job! Sorted twenty years of junk into categories to donate and things to throw away, filled a huge dumpster that they arranged to be delivered. They also moved the items we were keeping out of the way to stay safe. Don and his team were such hard workers, it is crazy how much they got done in several hours. They were all so friendly and understanding, it made it so much easier to purge the items that we no longer needed. I highly recommend them to anyone who could use some help de-cluttering and organizing. I wish I had called them years ago! Don’t put it off any longer, just call them today!

I’m really thankful for Pastor Don and his Team. They worked together so well, and quickly. Different people from all walks of life. But what really struck me about this company was their heartfelt, tender nature when it came to handling mine and my mother’s things. This job became a lot bigger than I thought it would be, but even with my concerns, Don was patient enough to reason with me towards a better solution. Every hoarder is an accidental hoarder, thanks to Don and his team for helping my family to get onto a better path of life . I would highly recommend, they function as a well-oiled machine .

I had contacted Don regarding an organization system that I needed installed. He was very prompt with getting me the quotation. I did not initially hire him however; when the contractor that I did hire decided to cancel the morning of the scheduled work date I called Don. He was very helpful and was able to get a contractor to my location within 3 hours. The work was completed that day and it looked great! The contractor, Scott, was very professional. Cleaned up after himself and was very respectful of working in my home. I can not say how grateful I am that Don was able to step in at such short notice and have the job done. Thank you!

I don't think of myself as a hoarder, but there ARE some overwhelming areas in my home that I have not been able to declutter - clearly I needed help. I was looking for help organizing and decluttering our cluttered and unusable basement, as well as getting other parts of the house under control. Don, the owner, told me not to be put off by the name of his company, and reassured me that they have 'seen it all' so I heartened to hear that, it made me feel less embarrassed about my messy areas, and I decided to go for it. Don is fabulous, he and his assistant came out to the house to see the scope of the job and after some discussion, we set some goals and talked about what to expect and set a date to start. So far, Don's crew (of 2 people this time) has worked one (amazingly productive) 2 hr stint and I am VERY happy with the results. They were very nice, and respectful of my house and property, and they moved FAST!! We got more accomplished in that 2 uninterrupted hours than I would have been able to do by myself in maybe 2 months or longer - no kidding. They were able to efficiently and nicely box and empty an entire room plus it's very full closet and move it's contents to the basement storage area and also vacuumed for me! Now I can move my elderly dad into that room. They were also able to help me clear space in the basement so the kids have room to play down there and it's not as overwhelming a task to declutter- there's room to move around now! I anticipate having them back, there's more to do, and I have hope now that I CAN reclaim my space. Thank you Hoarding Michigan!!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is kind of difficult until we see the actual project at hand. The basic organization is $ 75 an hour per organizer, which usually leads to something more. Home cleanouts normally start at $2800.0p and comprehensive hoarding cleanouts are priced based on project and need.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In working with a new client, I want to understand what is going on in their life. Maybe it is just an organizing situation, or maybe wanting to rid themselves of a bunch of discards they do not want anymore. We also work with hoarding clients where I try to get to the root of the problem.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the helps business all of my life. Usually people wouldn't want to come to me because I have never worked in anything that you want; it is what you need. I worked as an aftercare counselor and preplanning in the funeral business which was the most rewarding job of my life.
