A few of the things I like most about being a handyman and a remodeler; I love that I get to do so many different things, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and skills, I LOVE MY 'TOYS' TOOLS!! Steve Gates was hired to rescue my gut bath remodel which was an awful and unusable room; done by an incompetant, lieing contractor. Steve did beautiful, professional, fairly priced repairs within my limited budget. So pleased with the quality of his work; he was also hired for gut remodel of kitchen and restore/upgrade guest bath/hall/stairs. He has almost completed kitchen before moving on to latter jobs. He is my hero. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of his work, good attitude, reliability and reasonable costs. He will work with you to meet your needs. Many contractors bid this kitchen job and most wanted to tear out plaster walls with beautiful coving. There was a large peninsula that cut the room in half with upper and lower cabinets. Most refused to restore and two reluctantly agreed for an outrageous price. Steve has done such a wonderful job - can't see evidence of that former peninsula. The ceiling and cove are restored into the rest of the original coving throughout the room. Truly stunning restoration. Everyone is very impressed. He is thorough, exacting and accommodating. Steve was hired to build a metal roof for my modular home. The cost was $4000. We have had him out to fix leaks several times and now we cannot get him to call me back. I need this roof fixed before it ruins the entire interior of my home.
