Introduction

I really love performing weddings! I became an Officiant to bring a personal, warm touch to the ceremony. I offer my time, experience, energy and passion to make your wedding day magical, and memorable. I have a speaker and microphone for outdoor weddings. If you need guidance, I have sample ceremonies for you to choose from. I can also help you with your vows. You can choose readings and music to enhance the day. To personalize the ceremony, beforehand, I will send you a questionnaire and then write a story about the life of your relationship. Many couples have chosen to include an add-on such as a unique Celtic tradition called a Handfasting, a sand blending ceremony or a love letter box. My weddings have been in unique settings, beaches, backyards, public parks, lighthouses and wedding venues. There have been anywhere from 4 to 200 people present. Everyone has been different and very special. As a Registered Officiant in Maine, I am allowed to perform weddings. In Massachusetts, I can request an “Officiate for a day” license and in New Hampshire, using my paperwork, I can request a specific license for your ceremony. There is a charge for this from the state which I will add to my fee. My fee is $350. This includes the initial phone/video/or in person consultation, continued support throughout your planning, my time and travel. I will write a script based on our conversation and you have choices of poems/readings, vows, ring statements and an add-on. To personalize the ceremony, I craft together the story of your relationship based on a questionnaire I send both of you. $100- for being present at your rehearsal. $250- for a simple ceremony/elopement. This price includes the initial consultation by phone, plus a simple script based on our initial conversation. You will have choices of poems/readings, vows, ring statements and an add-on. This does not include the personal life story of your relationship. Add $25 if the wedding is more than 60 miles from Saco, ME.

We used Beth as our officiant at our wedding up in Maine. She was absolutely amazing!!! We found her on Thumbtack, emailed her and got an immediate response. She made sure to set up a phone call with us to ensure she would be a great match for us on our special day. After speaking with Beth we knew immediately that we wanted to hire her. Beth was so attentive with answering all of our questions, walking us through the whole process (as it was an out of state wedding for us) from beginning to end. Beth had us fill out questionnaires about each other that we were not to share with one another then wrote the most beautiful ceremony that was completely catered to us and our love story. Our friends and family could not believe that We have not known Beth for years are our ceremony script was so personalized, heartfelt and intimate. Beth was a 10 out of 10! Beth made our wedding ceremony even more special!! She was so knowledgeable about the entire process from start to finish. I couldn’t recommend her enough!! Beth officiated our wedding May 18, 2024. She was extremely easy to connect with prior to the ceremony and took the time to explain everything in detail so there was no stress leading up to the day. Beth did an amazing job at the wedding, many of our family and friends spoke to how much they loved our ceremony! Me and Jeremy absolutely loved it as well. The personalized story that Beth wrote was so sweet, with just the right amount of humor to keep us engaged! She also spoke us through a potting ceremony with a plant and soil from both our childhood homes. This was a really special detail for us that we are so happy she added in! I would recommend Beth to all friends and family!

We're from PA but got married in Maine, so we didnt know anyone locally. I found Beth on Thumbtack and chose her because she performs Handfasting Ceremonies, which I had never heard of before, and thought it would add something different and special to our small ceremony (there was only 5 of us). Beth was always quick to reply to any questions I had. She traveled over half hour to view a tentative location 2 months before the wedding (on a freezing, blustery day in March!), made a few additions to the script that I requested without hesitation, and was very flexible with the time of the wedding to accomodate possible rain since it was an outdoor ceremony. Also the personalized story she told about us was wonderful and gave us a little stroll down memory lane of how we met, fell in love, and decided to get married. Most importantly Beth performed the perfect ceremony for us! Beth was so sweet and warm and kind. It could not have been any more perfect. I would not change a thing! (I'm so glad we had the ceremony videotaped so we can watch it and hear her words as often as we like.) I absolutely, wholeheartedly recommend Beth to be your officiant!! (Thanks again Beth, you will forever be in our hearts!)

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Choosing a wedding officiant is a very important decision. I am happy to answers questions, map out how my weddings flow and offer advice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a Registered Officiant in Maine, I am allowed to perform weddings. I have performed many weddings in Maine, New Hampshire, and Mass and have enjoyed every one! I would need enough time to apply for a special one day license if the wedding is in Massachusetts or New Hampshire. The fee for the license is $25.
