My wife and I cannot tell you are fortunate we were back in 1995 when we first contacted Dick Hansen to do some work for us after arriving in Warner, NH. We just acquired some older property and had some small things that needed repair. Did not matter to Dick how small the job, he came right away and got the work done. From that day forward we knew we found someone we felt very comfortable with and more importantly, a truly honest man. We had Dick restore some cottages that were built in the mid 1800’s that were going to be part of a B&B we would eventually operate. When he was done you would have thought they were built brand new. The amazing part was he did all the work himself. No large crew or pieces of equipment. A truly talented craftsman. When you meet Dick and work with him he makes you feel confident that your expectations will be met and beyond. A very rare breed these days. Very hard working and talented craftsman. We later moved to our new location in Deerfield and hired Dick. This time he had his son Gary. Definitely, father like son. They came to basically gut and refurbish the entire first floor of our newly acquired house. Renovations included brand new kitchen, remodeling of two bathrooms (tiling walls and floors), laying new hardwood flooring in the entire house. Again, just the two of them and they finished the entire job in just under two months. The work and craftsmanship are second to none. We continuously get positive comments from family and friends on how beautiful everything looks. Just recently, in 2012, they installed an 800 square foot composite deck in our backyard. From the framing to the decking to the rails, just a beautiful piece of work right out of a showroom magazine. After all these years (going on 20) I can honestly say that Dick and his son Gary are not only hard working and honest folks, but are great craftsmen as well. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any type of restoration or carpentry work that you have. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most projects we quote are based off of a combination of sq.ft, hourly, and material. Depending on the size of a job i am able to give a quote within a few days of meeting the homeowner or plans. I can give ballpark quotes for most projects over the email or phone.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Communication and relationships is key; we will be with the homeowner every step of the way. Remodeling your home is a very simple process with us. For those who are less impaired to see the end product, we are more than capable of designing your project digitally or sitting down and sketching them the old fashioned way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We carry over 50+ years combined experience in every aspect of building, restoring and remodeling homes.
