FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While the pricing is more than reasonable in comparison to the larger corporations,it varies and depends on the amount of time required to provide a product that more than satisfies the needs and expectations of my clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I initially like to begin with a free consultation at which time I determine the client's current financial health and what would be needed in order for them to achieve their future financial goals. I also take a keen interest in their concerns and fears as it relates to their personal well-being and that of their spouse and/or children and other dependents. For those desiring tax preparation solely, I prefer an in person meeting, either at my office or a location of their choosing. However, communication via telephone or Internet is also acceptable, if the client is comfortable. I will then review their documents and ask a series of questions in order to ascertain the largest amount of deductions in which they qualify to receive. I would then prepare the returns and present them to be signed after a detailed explanation of their tax situation is given. When necessary, I also provide recommendations for a client to improve their situation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a master's in finance with a concentration in financial planning from the University of Maryland College Park. Also, I am a registered tax preparer with the IRS (PTIN # P01692663) and the state of Maryland (W15700095). In addition, I am awaiting my designate as an IRS Enrolled Agent, affording me the same privileges and responsibilities as those of a tax attorney.
