I recalled Daina when he initially installed my Bali window shade after I purchased it from JCPenney (he worked with them before the pandemic) 5 years ago. Recently, my window shade was no longer functioning as I expected and it needed to be repaired by the manufacturer. The manufacturer told me I needed to find a window treatment installer to remove it. After contacting JCPenney, they told me they no longer had an installer and I then performed a web search. After one company, told me they had no availability, I discovered Thumbtack.com. Daina's LLC was near the top of their list. I recalled his unique name and his photo proved to be the same individual who did this job in the past. Daina was able to work with my schedule to remove and reinstall my window shade. He has years of experience and had photographs to show off his skills.

Daina does exceptional work! He is courteous, punctual and very precise in his work. He installed a very large curtain rod and hung curtain panels in my living room as well as bedroom and took his time to ensure perfection. I will be calling Daina again for the rest of my window treatments!

I hired Dana to take down and then replace window treatments after my new windows were installed. He did a very good job with the window treatments. Because the blinds that I had no longer fit, Dana ordered new blinds for me. When they came, he came to the house and he hung up all the new blinds. He himself noticed before I did that the blinds in the family room, which was the most expensive blinds that I ordered had mismatched rods that opened and closed the blinds. Two of them were long but one of them was very short. He said that he would replace the one that didn’t match and return when it was ready. Because I had already written his final check I handed it to him before he left the house. I trusted him to come back and finish the job. We had had a very good relationship throughout, and he hugged me before he left. Unfortunately I never saw him again. After about a month or so I called to find out what was going on with the blinds. He never called me back. I called him a second time and still no return on the phone call.
It really makes me sad to see things end this way. I completely trusted Dana and it is my own fault that I gave him the final payment without making sure the job was completely done. I am writing this today to warn people that they should not pay Dana the final check until the job is absolutely done 100% to your satisfaction. I’ve learned my lesson. Had Dana not been dishonest with me, I probably would have given him five stars but dishonesty does not work well with me and that is why he got two stars. Be careful if you hire him.
Addendum to yesterday’s review:
Unfortunately, thumbtack does not allow removal of reviews. Only editing. I talked with Dana late yesterday and it turns out that it was all just a big mixup and he really didn’t get my messages which is why he didn’t respond. He set up an appointment for today since he had the rods that he needed to finish the job. He came today as promised, and now, everything is done completely.
I very much regret the bad review that I gave Dana but I guess I was just angry that he did not return my messages. It was just a big mixup. He is definitely worth five stars. He is very nice and easy to work with. And he does a superb job of window treatments and blinds. So please ignore the above review that I wrote yesterday. I was just upset and angry with him and he has definitely made things right. He is great: hire him!
