Pricing is almost double than other service provider. So I did not take the service. Also there is no $0 estimate which other providers do. Thank you for your time though.

We take your feedback seriously and appreciate the time to write a review. However, your call to us was to replace two sump pumps, not to have an inspection for a water intrusion. We asked if you had a leak or any water intrusions and you advised that you only needed a sump pump replacements and had no water issues in your basement. We do offer a $0 inspection fee when you need an inspection to assess water intrusions in your basement, crawl spaces, or foundation issues. We apologize if you needed more than the sump pump replacements. Please call us and we would be happy to set an inspection assessment at our $0 fee. As to the pricing, we do offer an extended warranty with each of our pumps (manufactured by our company). We would be glad to review the other quotes with you to ensure that our competitors' quotes include the same services, warranties and parts for fair comparison. We purchased a home that was built in the 1940's and during the winters, the house was unbearably cold, making most of the house miserable to be in and the heating bills were extremely high. Our crawl space wasn't sealed up. After reading outstanding reviews, we called Value Dry and Jim Ketterer and his team were exceptional to work with. They inspected what needed to be done, gave me an estimate that matched what I paid them, and they guaranteed the work even with transfer of home ownership. We had the crawl space encapsulated, added a sump pump with a back up, a sump pump drain, a window well with drainage, and they installed insulation in the cement walls of the foundation to completely seal it. We also have a humidistat so we can control the humidity underneath the house. Exceptional job! Our coldest days outside were mitigated inside by the insulation and our house is very comfortable to be in during the winter now. They worked hard to make sure the job was done correctly and I highly recommend their services.

Having my basement waterproofed by Value Dry was an excellent experience. They fulfilled every commitment - were on time, courteous, cleaned up everyday, very professional on every level. And, my basement is dry - even after 16 days of consecutive rain!!!

Value Dry Waterproofing offers free inspections to customers within our service area.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In basement waterproofing and crawl space encapsulation, there is no one-size-fits-all solution that will work for everybody, so our first steps are to meet with the homeowners, assess the problem, and present the recommendations for fixes. Our inspectors will answer questions about approximate costs, how the work is performed, how long it takes, and the pro/cons of each solution. Our inspectors work with the homeowner to design a customized scope of work taking into consideration their future plans and desired peace of mind. Several options will be presented and decisions will need to be made effecting warranty coverage.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Value Dry has been waterproofing basements and encapsulating crawl spaces in Maryland, DC and Virginia under the same management for over 20 years. We have certified basement waterproofing, crawl space encapsulation and egress specialists on staff. Well over a hundred years of combined experience on staff.
