Introduction

I do this as a service to the Lord. I hold the wedding ceremony to be sacred. Therefore, I take it very seriously. I do not charge "an arm and a leg" to do the service. I do not go into a lengthy "counseling session" with the bride and groom just to "generate some money" with the end result being the "approval" of the wedding. I believe if the bride and groom to be are adults that have entered into the agreement to be married and have sought the Lord's guidance in doing so - then they should be married. The fees charged are really to help offset some of my expenses and still leave some as a donation to our ministry. I do not take any of the money for personal use. It is all used for the ministry. Therefore, at the end of year, the couple will also receive a letter detailing the donation and they can use that letter for income tax deduction purposes. Serving the Lord Jesus Christ. The marriage ceremony symbolizes what Jesus will be doing with the born again believers at "The Great Wedding Banquet" in Heaven!

Pastor Bob did a phenomenal job officiating my wedding. I am a very intuitive person and when I met him, right away I felt at ease and after my wedding, I knew I made the right choice. My wedding started late and I was really stressed out but Pastor Bob was professional and patient which immediately calmed me down. I cannot think him enough for making my wedding one of the most beautiful moments of my life.

We cannot say enough good things about Pastor Bob. We struggled with who to hire as an officiant for our wedding. We wanted a non-denominational Christian wedding but aren’t members of any local churches. I was leery of hiring someone we didn’t know from the internet but we are so glad we did! Pastor Bob was not only professional but also very personable. He responded to us quickly anytime we contacted him and was not only punctual, but early for everything from our pre-wedding meeting to the rehearsal and ceremony itself. The ceremony was even better than we had imagined as he has his own way of making it special for not just the couple getting married, but the wedding party and guests as well. My mother even commented after the ceremony that it was the nicest wedding she had ever attended. He was truly exceptional and we feel so blessed that he was part of our special day.

I can't begin to express how much of a blessing it was to find Pastor Bob and how truly grateful I am that he performed my wedding! He answered my initial inquiry very quickly, and was extremely thorough in his response. As my now-hubby and I wanted to marry in just a few days, Pastor Bob made sure to let me know the time frame in which we needed to get our marriage license, considering the 48-hour waiting period. We'd actually gotten our license months before, but it was so wonderful how even in that initial communication, Pastor Bob showed his thoughtfulness in wanting to ensure that we had all of our bases covered. What a blessing he is! He even lowered his fee for us because his heart is not to make money - his heart is to serve God by joining couples in holy matrimony. Once hired, we spoke on the phone and he was so pleasant and kind as we went over all of the logistics of the ceremony. He was very easy to talk to and I hung up with my mind at ease that all would go well the day of. And surely, it did! He arrived at exactly the agreed upon time and even waited patiently while I took a few extra minutes to finish prepping. He's a wonderful conversationalist and my now-husband and sister enjoyed speaking with him for those few extra minutes before the ceremony began. He performed the ceremony exquisitely! His professionalism is stellar and his warm nature just makes you feel so at ease. Pastor Bob took pictures with us after the ceremony and wished us the very best. Pastor Bob is a blessing and true servant of God. I wish him and his ministry (Freedom Through Faith Ministries) nothing but continued success and would HIGHLY recommend him as an officiant to any couple seeking to get married. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
1. Traditional wedding service (or the extended - Episcopalian service) - to include attending the wedding rehearsal and our face to face coffee meeting (30 minutes) is $400. 2. If I am not needed at a wedding rehearsal, either for a Traditional ceremony or Civil Ceremony, the total cost is $300. 4. From time to time, I do offer additional discounts. So check back or ask!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once selected to be the wedding officiant, I will communicate with the person through Thumbtack email. Normally, about 2-3 weeks prior to the wedding, we will schedule a face to face coffee meeting. This allows me to ask pertinent questions of the couple so I can make sure the ceremony is everything the couple is looking for. It is also a chance for them to ask me any questions as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I read almost 1 book per month that deals with ministry related topics. I am an avid reader. I attend a ministers conference in Texas every November to maintain my credentials.
