FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing depends on the complexity of the assignment. Larger more complex homes or situations typically cost more as they take time and research. We are always available to discuss what is needed prior and if you don't need one, we will tell you this also. We have been doing this a long time and haven't been around this long by misleading people, we just won't do it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we make contact, set an appointment that works for both parties (we are typically very flexible). We arrive at your house and do need access to every room, take photos along with measurements. This process typically takes 15-20 minutes depending. The inspection isn't very time consuming its the paperwork after that takes a few days to complete.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
An appraiser must take hundreds of classroom hours just to sit for the residential exam. Then, to become certified, you need an additional several thousand hours of experience and classroom hours. Afterward, there are 42 hours of continuing education every 3 years.
