- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices are based on one or more people attending the class. The prices also is based on the type of class you need. Do we come to you, or are you coming to one of our classroom locations? Discounts are given to all first responder personnel. For anyone wanting to do a hybrid class here are some instructions to help you. Please call me if you have any questions. Thanks. 1) You must register at the American Heart Association website, complete and print the course certificate 2) Schedule a Skills check course with an AHA instructor from CPR MD. Once complete your certification will be saved and emailed to you electronically. The Heartsaver® Courses are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (for example, OSHA Required , life guards, teachers, fitness instructors, child care providers, security guards and police), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. For many Heartsaver courses, students receive a course completion card that is valid for 2 years. The CPR course is a classroom courses are video based, are instructor led, and feature group interaction and hands-on coaching and feedback from an American Heart Association Instructor. Skills are taught with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique that allows students to practice skills as the video guides them. CPR MD will travel to your location. We will bring all the equipment and paperwork needed to complete the training, or if you like we can schedule to meet at one of our many locations throughout Maryland. Note: we do ask that you have an electrical outlet for the Audio equipment, enough floor space for people to practice preforming CPR.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Some of our instructors include firefighters, medics, and Physicians Assistants. We teach the the American Heart Association's BLS for healthcare providers Heartsaver CPR/AED for Adults, Child and Infants, with or without First Aid. We will also be offering ACLS and PALS in the near future. These classes are taught by emergency and medical professionals with years of actual experience.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been a firefighter for over 26 years, and an instructor for 20 years.
