FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of my shows are for family audiences; that is, groups where there are adults and children present, or who represent family-oriented organizations. I am equally at home at a Rotary banquet or a Cub Scout banquet; a corporate holiday party for 100 people or a holiday party for 600 children at a military facility. I can do an age-appropriate, fun and amazing birthday show for whether the "child" is turning 5 or 50! Do you want to know the secret? Come a little closer. Do you promise not to tell? Alright then. It's not about me - it's about YOU. You and your friends having amazing fun, laughing and sharing a magical experience. That's my goal every time.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently had the extraordinary privilege of performing for President and Mrs. Obama and the First Family at the White House Halloween party. I was contacted by the event producer just days in advance, and had less than 72 hours to think up, pitch, write, choreograph, rehearse and videotape an original piece of magic! I was asked to animate and levitate an object in full light and perform mere inches from the audience in the Green Room, which is quite cozy. The reactions were all I could hope for, and the President and Mrs. Obama were very gracious. It's hard to imagine anything in my magical career that will top this!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Start early! There are simply not enough quality entertainers to cover all the events in our area. The best ones book up very early. For a birthday party (adult or child) you want to book the entertainer at least 45-60 days in advance. For holiday parties and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, you want to book 4-6 months ahead. For example for a company holiday party in December, start booking in August.
